I obtained my PhD in Bioinformatics, Structural Biology and Genomics from the University of Marseilles (southern France) in July 2005. I worked mainly on the in silico identification of cis-regulatory elements in higher Eukaryotes, more particularly in drosophila, but also on the development of methods relying on Gene Ontology, in the bioinformatics group co-directed by Denis Thieffry and Bernard Jacq in the Developmental Biology Institute of Marseille-Luminy (IBDML).

Then, I went as a postdoctoral researcher to the Center for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics (CMMT) in Vancouver (Canada) until November 2006. I was working there on the development of a cis-regulatory module de novo discovery algorithm in the group directed by Wyeth Wasserman.

Since February 2007, I joined the group of Roderic Guigó at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona (Catalunya, northern Spain) where I work as a senior postdoctoral researcher on various projects related to transcriptional regulation.
