April 2007 – September 2008: Reasearch assistant position at the Bioinformatics Department of the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe, Valencia. Suppervisor: Dr. Toni Gabaldón.
September 2006 - April 2007: URV PhD grant from at the Nutrigenomics group at the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Department of ‘Rovira I Virgili’ University.

Resumé
My research is centered around the use of comparative genomics on completely sequenced fungal species. On the more methodological side, I have worked on the analysis of phylogenetic diversity within gene trees versus their species tree, and the design of tools to compare trees. On a more biological level I have used comparative genomics to study duplication events, horizontal gene transfer events and the evolution of metabolic pathways of interest found within fungi.
